Bjertorp Slott är "Best Historic Countryside Hotel of Europe"

Hotellorganisationen Historic Hotels of Europe meddelade under en presskonferens den 28 oktober 2013 i Amsterdam, att Bjertorp Slott utanför Vara i Västergötland, har utnämnts till "Best Historic Countryside Hotel of Europe 2014".

HHE Awards grundades 2012 och under hösten har allmänheten över hela Europa röstat online på sina favorithotell inom tio olika kategorier. Vinnarna 2014 är:

Best City Historic Hotel of Europe - Amsterdam American Hotel i Holland
Best Countryside Historic Hotel of Europe - Bjertorp Slott i Sverige
Best Historic Hotel of Europe by the Water - Kviknes Hotel i Norge
Best Historic Hotel of Europe with "A Story to Tell" - Badrutt’s Palace Hotel i Schweiz
Best Historic Hotel of Europe with a Mountain View - Hotel Orso Grigio i Italien
Best Historic Hotels of Europe Castle Award - Barberstown Castle i Irland
Historic Hotels of Europe Best Restaurant Award - Skovshoved Hotel i Danmark
Historic Hotels of Europe Customer Care Award - Burg Oberranna i Österrike
Most Romantic Historic Hotel of Europe - Aigialos Traditional Settlement i Grekland
Historic Hotels of Europe Best Spa Award - La Contessa Castle Hotel i Ungern

2013 vann ett annat svenskt hotell, Dala-Husby Hotell & Restaurang, priset som "Best Restaurant".

Historic Hotels of Europe skapades för att främja global medvetenhet för historiska hotell i Europa och består av över 500 hotell i 18 länder. I Sverige representeras kedjan av Countryside Hotels, som varit medlemsorganisation sedan 2003. Vilka är Europas bästa historiska hotell?

Countryside Hotels europeiska paraplyorganisation Historic Hotels of Europe har öppnat nomineringarna till HHE Awards 2014. Förra året vann Dala-Husby Hotell & Restaurang i Dalarna en HHE Award i kategorin "Best Restaurant".

Drop-in vigsel på slott.

Bjertorp Slott i Vara fyller 100 år i år och firar det med att bland annat bjuda in till drop-in vigslar på Alla hjärtans dag. Giftassugna tar bara med hindersprövning och vigselbevis, så sköter hotellet resten. Till och med vittnen, florist och fotograf finns på plats!

Rösta fram din favorit bland Sveriges historiska hotell.

Förra året blev Bjertorp Slott "Best Countryside Historic Hotel". Året innan blev Dala-Husby Hotell & Restaurang "Historic Hotel Best Restaurant". Nu är det dags att rösta fram ännu en svensk vinnare i Historic Hotels of Europe Awards 2015.
