Arsenal Breaks Transfer Record in the English Premier League - Arsenalbanter.com reports

Arsenal has reached an agreement with West Ham for the transfer of captain Declan Rice for a British record of £105 million.

As usual, there is a great deal of "hype" ahead of the start of the English Premier League, which is less than a month away before the season kicks off on August 12th.

In the case of Arsenal, they are now seriously showing that they want to play with the big boys, and the club's owners are sparing no effort to ensure that the team can go all the way to lift the PL trophy this year.

If they manage to win the title in England, it would be Arsenal's first Premier League title since they won the 2003/2004 season, a season when they earned 90 points during the 38 rounds of the series and without losing a single match.

It's not just Declan Rice who has been recruited to the "Gunners". German Kai Havertz is also making a move from one London club (Chelsea) to another, Arsenal. There is no doubt that Arsenal is aiming to become a more physically strong team next season with even more aerial duel strength than last season, Declan Rice and Kai Havertz are 1.85 meters and 1.90 meters tall respectively.

When you look at the statistics from the previous season, it was precisely in aerial duels and defensive play that the team sometimes faltered, admittedly they scored an incredible 88 goals forward (only Manchester City scored more goals, 94 to be exact) but the "Gunners" also let in quite a few goals, 43 to be exact, which can be compared to Brentford's 46 conceded goals in their 9th place in the table.

As if the signings of Rice and Havertz were not enough, last week they also signed the 22-year-old Dutch national team defender Jurrien Timber from Ajax Amsterdam. Timber cost Arsenal just over £34 million.

Can Arsenal not only challenge but also go all the way to a Premier League title that fans are eagerly anticipating this coming season? Yes, it certainly feels like they have a better chance than ever to go all the way, although we can safely assume that Pep Guardiola's Manchester City will also want to compete for the title again this year.

Teams like Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, and Manchester United have not made as good signings as the "Gunners" have done so far, but they are guaranteed to be at the top of the table when we summarize the Premier League season 2023/2024.
