Två indiska hållbarhetsprojekt vinner Children’s Climate Prize 2020

Vinnarna av årets Children’s Climate Prize är Vinisha Umashankar, 14 år och Aadya Joshi, 17 år båda från Indien. Vinisha vinner Clean Air priset för sitt initiativ med solcellsdrivna strykjärn och Aadya vinner Changemaker priset för sitt biodiversitets projekt The Right Green. Båda belönas med diplom, medalj samt 100 000 SEK från Children’s Climate Foundation för att utveckla sina verksamheter.

Vinisha Umashankar investerar i nya hållbarhetsinitiativ

14 åriga Vinisha Umashankar investerar i nya hållbarhetsinitiativ. Hennes innovation med solcellsdrivna strykjärn fick enormt mediegenomslag när hon vann Children's Climate Prize. Hon har sedan dess mottagit utmärkelse från Indiens premiärminister och hyllats av ordförande för Mahindra Group. Nu utvecklar Vinisha sitt projekt vidare och tar nya hållbarhetsinitiativ för miljö och klimat.

Vinisha Umashankar starts new sustainability initiatives

Fourteen-year-old Vinisha Umashankar, from Tamil Nadu in India, won the Children's Climate Prize 2020. Her solar ironing cart- innovation had an enormous media impact both in her home country India and globally. Vinisha is now developing her project and is taking new sustainability initiatives for the environment and climate.

Children’s Climate Prize välkomnar nomineringar för 2022

Nu fortsätter sökandet efter unga människor som gör extraordinära insatser för klimatet och miljön. Children’s Climate Prize delas ut till entreprenörer, innovatörer, changemakers och naturvårdare runt om i världen. Nomineringar tas emot fram till den 15 maj 2022.

Two Indian sustainability projects win the Children's Climate Prize 2020

The winners of this year's Children's Climate Prize are Vinisha Umashankar, 14, and Aadya Joshi, 17, both from India. Vinisha wins the Clean Air prize for her initiative with solar-powered ironing carts and Aadya wins the Changemaker prize for her biodiversity project The Right Green. They each receive SEK 100,000 from the Children's Climate Foundation to develop their projects.

The Children’s Climate Prize welcomes nominations for 2022

The search for young people who make extraordinary efforts for the climate and the environment continues. The Children’s Climate Prize is awarded to entrepreneurs, innovators, changemakers and conservators around the world. Nominations will be accepted until May 15th 2022.
