They come from the forest, the jungle, the Arctic: exotic new animals are joining schleich® WILD LIFE

Can you travel all the world without ever leaving the playroom? Of course! The characters and sets of WILD LIFE teach children about animals and habitats all over the world while encouraging them to come up with imaginative stories. From a panda adventure in the bamboo forest to Arctic expeditions with the polar wolves – the ten new WILD LIFE characters will bring joy to little explorers from January 2025. The Adventure Vehicle is a special highlight: available from July 2025, its many functions will inspire exciting journeys.

Two very different forest animals will be meeting for the first time this year – one comes from Europe, the other from North America. The European Tree Frog is Europe’s smallest indigenous frog. While its bright green skin keeps him well camouflaged in the forest, he is likely to stand out in the playroom. The Bison, on the other hand, is North America’s largest mammal. Its thick fur protects it from extreme temperatures. Do you think the dwarf and the giant will be good friends?

Far, far north
The Arctic Wolf and his Arctic Wolf Cub inhabit the cold tundras of the far north. Thanks to their dense fur, the extreme cold does not bother them: they keep warm even when the air around them drops to -70° Celsius! Another arrival joining WILD LIFE from the north is the North Atlantic Right Whale. This large, black whale is very acrobatic despite its impressive weight – it loves leaping from the water!

Jungles and bamboo forests – arrivals from Africa and Asia
This year, the WILD LIFE primates look forward to welcoming friends from the African rainforest. The Indri from Madagascar is famous for its loud, melodic singing, which it uses to mark its territory and communicate with its group. A Chimpanzee and her Chimpanzee Cub will be moving into the playroom, too. They can’t wait to climb to the top of the bookshelf! And the Giant Panda with her Giant Panda Cub will be right behind them, as pandas are surprisingly good climbers despite their weight. In their Asian habitat, they love to climb bamboo trees. These cuddly black-and-white furballs are just too adorable.

A jungle rescue mission with the new Adventure Vehicle
As well as these lovable new animals, July will see the launch of a special WILD LIFE highlight. With the Off-Road Adventure in the Jungle, Ranger Tom helps injured animals and rescues them from dangerous situations. And here comes the day’s first mission: the baby elephant has a wound on its leg and has been separated from the herd. Luckily, Ranger Tom is patrolling the area in his Adventure Vehicle. From his cannon, he fires a net towards the elephant baby and captures it. He uses the pulley to lift the baby elephant onto his truck bed and drives it to the adventure station. The doors, boot and bonnet of the vehicle open, providing inspiration for plenty of imaginative play.

With their realistic details and unique functions, the WILD LIFE characters and sets encourage little explorers aged three and above to play out their favourite stories and imagine themselves in faraway countries.
