FARM WORLD Novelties 2024

Press release -

In the woods, on the farm, at home: the new characters and sets in the schleich® FARM WORLD

The Goldendoodle excitedly leaps around the playroom. Today’s the day! Like every year, he gets to accompany Farmer Paul on a walk around the playroom to look for the new pets, farm animals and woodland creatures. It never gets boring here in the FARM WORLD, and who knows? There might even be another dog for me! The lively crossbreed can’t wait to meet his new playmate. A Jersey Cow, a Lionhead Rabbit and a Percheron Mare will be among eight pets and farm animals joining the FARM WORLD in January. Farmer Paul gets a new tractor with a trailer in January, and in March, the Sheep Friends will bring fresh energy to the farm. Also in March, the neighbouring woodlands will come alive with the new set Feeding the Forest Animals, and a handy off-road vehicle will make the Farmer Paul’s hard work easier.

What’s he doing? The Goldendoodle waits impatiently. We were supposed to be on the road already! A loud noise makes him prick his hears. Wow, that tractor is so cool! Farmer Paul is approaching the little dog in his Tractor with Trailer and comes to a halt in front of him. The tractor is a true marvel of engineering: it has a moving shovel, its engine compartment and roof open, and the large trailer can be opened, adjusted and detached. But the Goldendoodle only has eyes for the chocolate Labradoodle leaping out of the driver’s cabin. The three are ready for their walk: first of all, let’s find the new pets.

Cat, dog and rabbit – the race of the new pets
Look! Over there! The Goldendoodle giggles, gently nudging his new friend with his snout. A long jump rope has been laid down on the far end of the playroom to mark a finish line. On the other side, two new dog breeds and a Lionhead Rabbit are lined up. The wonderfully fluffy, grey-and-white Old English Sheepdog impatiently scratches the ground. Meanwhile, the soft Lionhead Rabbit and the tousled-looking Wire-Haired Dachshund are completely relaxed. I’ve got an idea who might win this race, comments the Labradoodle with a smirk. Suddenly, a voice calls out: ready, set … The two dogs spot the British Shorthair Cat, who seems to have been appointed referee. As she calls out ‘go!’, the three racers give it their all. Farmer Paul and his two dogs cheer eagerly as the Old English Sheepdog crosses the finish line first. He is beside himself with joy, while the other two racers look a little crestfallen. It was good fun, though!

A great team – the new farm animals
Let’s move on to the farm animals. The newcomers have gathered on the pasture next to the desk, chatting excitedly about their first day in the playroom. The beautiful Percheron Mare loves the delicious food, and the Jersey Cow with her characteristically light brown coat especially enjoys the pats and back rubs she has been getting from her various visitors. I would’ve preferred my own private pasture, grumbles the Angora Goat. He can be a bit grumpy at times … You would’ve been pretty lonely there, argues the adorable Galloway Calf. Aren’t we having ever so much fun together? The three Sheep Friends, available from March, completely agree. They much prefer being together.

Into the woods
The last part of the walk involves Feeding the Forest Animals. From March, the Red Deer Hind and her fawn will be treated to delicious feed pellets and carrots, the Squirrel will race along the detachable roof or curl up in her secret hideaway, and the Hedgehog will be a frequent visitor, too. With a storage function, feed chute and a ramp that doubles as a see-saw, the forest animals have everything they could possibly wish for.

And the woodland creatures aren’t the only ones getting a treat: Farmer Paul gasps audibly when he sees the Working in the Forest set. He proudly shows the flashy off-road vehicle off to his two canine friends. Thanks to the integrated rope winch, pulling heavy tree trunks off the stack is easier than ever. He quickly puts on his helmet and starts sawing up the trunk with his chainsaw. The bonnet and roof of the car open, and the bed can be adjusted for unloading. Working in the forest has never been more fun! The set even contains a little Jack Russell Terrier. Will the other two dogs welcome him with open arms?

After their long walk, Farmer Paul, the Labradoodle and the Goldendoodle return home, tired but happy. Across the house, the farm and the forest, all the new animals are happy and comfortable in their new homes. What sort of adventures do you think they will have together?
