Roland Berger increases revenues to one billion euros in 2023 – successful growth trajectory continues

  • Revenues up 16%, significantly faster than the global consulting market
  • Launch of strategic growth initiatives: repositioning of the RPT platform, acquisition of Amane Advisors and expansion of the Global Board of Managing Directors

Munich, July 2024: Global management consultancy Roland Berger continued its profitable growth trajectory in 2023. Last year, the company’s revenues exceeded one billion euros for the first time in its history (2022: 870 million euros). With double-digit revenue growth of around 16% compared to the previous year, Roland Berger is growing significantly faster than the global market for consulting services, which is estimated to have grown by 3.5%. Stefan Schaible, Global Managing Partner at Roland Berger: "2023 was a very successful year for Roland Berger. For the first time in our history, we generated more than one billion euros in revenues. We made important strategic decisions and set the course for our future profitable growth: We added growth-critical functions to our Global Board of Managing Directors, further expanded our important RPT platform and significantly strengthened our sustainability offering with the acquisition of Amane Advisors."

Expansion and repositioning of the RPT platform as growth drivers
Roland Berger has invested in and systematically expanded its Restructuring, Performance and Transformation (RPT) platform. It has been reorganized in line with client needs and is now led by a global management team. Thereby the company is handing over responsibility for the platform to a new generation of leaders while further strengthening this key consulting area for future growth and internationalization.

Expansion of water consulting further embeds sustainability even more in the company
With the acquisition of Amane Advisors, a consulting firm specialized in water, resource and energy recovery, Roland Berger has significantly expanded its expertise and offering in the field of sustainability. This step, together with the full integration of Amane Advisors into Roland Berger's own water consulting team, further strengthens the company's leading position in water consulting. The acquisition is in line with the company's strategy of integrating sustainability into all projects.

Expansion and internationalization of the Global Board of Managing Directors to strengthen operational management
In order to further drive global growth, Roland Berger has expanded its Global Board of Managing Directors from three to seven members in April 2023 and adapted its management and governance structures. The operational management has become even more international, and a new generation of partners has been given greater responsibility. As part of the expansion, growth-critical functions such as Finance & Controlling, Human Resources, Innovation, and Knowledge Management were integrated directly into the Global Board.
