ROHM Semiconductor Receives from Continental ”Supplier of the Year 2014 Award“

Willich-Munchheide, August 17th 2015 - ROHM Semiconductor has been recognized by the Continental Automotive Group for its Discrete and Standard ICs in the Electronics category with the „Supplier of the Year 2014 Award“. The highly renowned supplier prize, granted since 2008, rewards outstanding achievements in the production and delivery of products and services. In total, Continental awarded 15 companies, among them three electronic providers, out of 900 strategic suppliers. To determine the winners, the Group executes a comprehensive systematic review based on strictly defined criteria in terms of quality, technology, logistics, costs and purchase conditions.

ROHM received the award during the International Purchasing Manager Meeting in Dusseldorf by Dr. Elmar Degenhart, Executive Chairman of the Board, Continental AG, and Günter Fella, Head of Purchasing at Continental Automotive. "We are delighted to get this award validating our corporate mission and focus on top quality. The prize is both, acknowledgement and motivation to provide high-quality, robust and advanced products as well as best services, in order to support our customers by all means in achieving their business goals, "said Masaki Sakai, Director, Member of the Board, Overseas Sales Headquarters, ROHM Co., Ltd.

Continental pursues ambitious growth objectives and aims for becoming the leading technology company in the automotive suppliers’ industry. “This goal can only be reached in close and trustful cooperation with our world-class suppliers. And this is where the companies recognized with a “Supplier Award” are setting standards”, said Dr. Degenhart.

Overall, last year the Continental Automotive Group purchased raw materials, components and services from its more than 4,000 suppliers worldwide worth a total amount of approximately 12.2 billion Euro.
