Festive Potsdam
Potsdam’s unique charm is shaped by its European spirit and rich traditions. Over the centuries, people from all over Europe have settled in this Hohenzollern royal residence, bringing their architecture and culture along with them. During the Advent season, these European influences are especially evident throughout the city. Bohemian craftsmanship meets Finnish mulled wine, Dutch Sinterklaas greets Polish starlight magic — a visit to Potsdam is like a journey through Europe.

"Potsdam WEINnacht" at the Royal Vineyard
30/11/2024
As winter settled over Potsdam, a quiet and contemplative atmosphere filled the gardens of Sanssouci. The imperial family would retreat to the New Palace to celebrate Christmas together, surrounded by the warmth of family. Countless fir trees adorned the house, and both then and now, delicious treats and, of course, wine were essential to a joyful Advent and Christmas season.
Now, some 250 years later, Mosaik-Berlin gGmbH and the Prussian Palaces and Gardens Foundation invite you to a Christmas market at the Royal Vineyard. Enjoy beautifully crafted, artisanal gifts from regional social enterprises, and soak in the enchanting ambiance of the festively lit vineyard.
