Professor Jan Staël von Holstein and Mr. Dennis Pamlin, UN Global Compact, confirmed keynote speakers at the Urban Agriculture Summit in Linköping, Sweden, January 29-31

STOCKHOLM-LINKÖPING / SWEDEN (January 10, 2013) - The Urban Agriculture Summit in Linköping, Sweden, January 29-31, gathers experts, industry representatives and academia from all over the world to discuss transformative solutions on how to feed people in the urban era.

Several well-know experts within agriculture, vertical farming, food safety and sustainable development will be speaking at the Summit. Two of the keynote speakers are Professor Jan Staël von Holstein, Professor at the The College of Design & Innovation (D&I) Tongji University in Shanghai, and Dennis Pamlin, entrepreneur and Director for the Low Carbon Leaders Project under the UN Global Compact

Other experts participating in the Summit as keynote speakers are Dr. Dickson Despommier, "the father of vertical farming", Professor Beatrix Alsanius, professor in Horticulture at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences at Alnarp, Professor Oren R. Lyons, Onondaga Nation and Chairman of Plantagon International, Dr. He Jie, from Nanyang Technical University in Singapore, expert on environmental stresses on photosynthesis, and Maria Wetterstrand, former member of the Swedish parliament and leader of the Swedish green party "Miljöpartiet de Gröna", and several more.
