More Solar kilometres for Germany: ADAC and Otovo launch strategic partnership

Berlin, June 26, 2024 - The Otovo solar platform and ADAC SE are now providing sustainable energy and mobility solutions. The joint expertise is intended to promote the use of renewable energies and e-mobility. As a broker of photovoltaic systems and storage systems for purchase or rent, Otovo complements ADAC Solar's offering and supports members and consumers in switching to solar energy.

Expertise for the energy transition

Otovo, founded in Oslo in 2016, brings Scandinavian reliability and innovation to the partnership. Working with certified master craftsmen from the region ensures the highest quality of service and local expertise.

Thanks to its innovative marketplace model, Otovo brings private persons who want to buy or rent a solar system together with local installers and ensures reliable and fast installation. A total of over 850 local, qualified installation companies are available for Otovo customers. In order to make solar energy accessible to as many people as possible, ADAC Solar and Otovo offer both direct purchase and hire-purchase financing options.

With the solar calculator, the ADAC offers a reliable way to determine the individual energy-saving potential for the household and in conjunction with an electric car. Based on individual requirements and local conditions, the possible number of solar kilowatt hours and even the "solar kilometres", the potential number of kilometres that an electric car can cover with the available solar power, are extrapolated.
