Northern Offshore Services expands fleet with Service Operation Vessel
Northern Offshore Services enters a new segment by acquiring Mistral Enabler, a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) from Edda Wind. The vessel will be renamed Northern Ocean. The acquisition is made through a new holding company, together with the Swedish shipping company Rederi AB Älvtank.
This purpose-built vessel is designed to provide safe and easy access for wind farm personnel and technicians, with high-standard, comfortable accommodations at sea. Adding this SOV to our fleet enhances our ability to support offshore operations and strengthens our commitment to deliver reliable, high-performing, and efficient solutions to the offshore wind industry.
“We’re entering a new segment, but with our previous SOV experience, we’re confident in our ability to support our operations. This vessel will significantly improve comfort and work efficiency for our crew and customers,” said David Kristensson, CEO of Northern Offshore Group
Vessel details:
Length: 81 m
Breadth: 17 m
Total POB: 60
Warehouse area: 350m2
Other facilities: Offices, meeting room, hospital/sick bay, gym, day room and game room
