Conrad Helgeland begynte i den nyoppretta stillingen som dataingeniør ved Akvaplan-niva 1. september 2020. Han er ansatt for å bygge programvare for standardisert publisering av data på nett. Han vil også utvikle interaktive apper for presentasjon og utforsking av data via grafer og kart.

Akvaplan-niva er aktiv partner i klyngen Marine Recycling Cluster (MRC). To plastprosjekter som ledes av Akvaplan-niva, MALINOR og DIMARC, er knyttet opp mot en eller flere partnere i klyngen. MRC arbeider med kartlegging, opprydding og bevisstgjøring knyttet til bruk av plast. Nettverket arbeider ikke direkte med effekter av mikroplast eller nanoplast i økosystemet.

Vi tilbyr rådgivningstjenester og FoU-bistand innen akvakultur for alle vann-tilknyttede miljøutfordringer. Forskning er en meget viktig del av vår virksomhet og våre forskere har kompetanse innen biologi, økologi, økotoksikologi, kjemi og oseanografi. Våre viktigste kundegrupper er havbruksnæringen, energi-sektoren og ulike forskningsfond. Akvaplan-niva er ISO 9001 sertifisert og har egne kjemiske og biologiske laboratorier som er akkreditert i henhold til anerkjente standarder.
