Press release -

NNIT signs new agreement with e-nettet

With effect from January 2022, NNIT and e-nettet have entered into a five-year agreement for infrastructure services and support concerning e-nettet’s portfolio of applications.

With this new outsourcing agreement, NNIT and e-nettet are building on their previous collaboration (2015-2021) dedicated to running and supporting infrastructure operations in a highly regulated and classified environment as well as supporting e-nettet’s digital transformation project: moving e-nettet’s portfolio of applications from their legacy SPARC, Oracle and current Kubernetes platforms to a new DevOps enabled Kubernetes container platform.

The new agreement comes with the option of extending for two periods of 12 months and has a worth of a low triple-digit DKK million amount.

Supporting e-nettet on their transformational journey

In addition to monitoring e-nettet’s day-to-day IT operations, NNIT will be allocating resources to the project of moving e-nettet’s entire portfolio of applications from legacy systems into the new Kubernetes platform:

The new Kubernetes platform is based on the latest “Red Hat OpenShift” software, ensuring stable and flexible enterprise-wide Kubernetes enablement. DevOps services will ensure fast deployments; and full developer flexibility will be facilitated via GitOps.

In the last year, e-nettet and NNIT have further enriched their cooperation to include agile capabilities and general team skills enhancement within governance, processes, and technologies.

Niels Svenningsen, Senior Vice President, NNIT Hybrid Cloud Solutions comments:

“We provide a host of high-quality IT infrastructure services to e-nettet, and together we have developed a whole new agile way of working focusing, as always, on quality and stability in our deliveries, but also on creating new processes that carry a high degree of control and security. We didn’t have a standard or blueprint to build on, so this new way of working is something we have developed together. We are very happy to continue our very rewarding collaboration and look forward to supporting e-nettet on their digital transformation journey, which is also a great challenge for us as the scale is more or less unprecedented.”

Simon Riemann, CTO, e-nettet comments:

“During the last 6 years, NNIT has been a valuable partner in delivering infrastructure and application management of systemic critical applications and infrastructure. Together, we have matured and improved existing and new platforms and moved gradually into a more agile setup. We are happy to be able to continue this journey with NNIT in a new contract with even more focus on agile deliverables on top of stable operations while enhancing both security and compliance services.”
