Coop signs IT operations deal with NNIT

Coop Danmark A/S and NNIT A/S have just signed an agreement which gives NNIT responsibility for the future operation of Coop’s SAP platform.  The agreement will run for the next five years and is worth an amount in the double digit million range. Under the new agreement, NNIT will be an important vendor for “sCoop”, which is the name of Coop’s new SAP programme which, at the same time, is one of Denmark’s largest ERP implementations. The programme is one of many initiatives in Coop’s 2015 strategy and the aim of which is to optimise and simplify business processes and IT systems in order to make Coop’s work procedures more efficient.

“We have signed the agreement with NNIT following a tendering process in which six qualified IT vendors chose to submit tenders. In the end, Coop chose NNIT because, among other things, they were able to deliver the right quality at the right price and because of their in-depth knowledge of and experience in the implementation and operation of business-critical SAP systems, which is also an important parameter for Coop. I am looking forward to the collaboration and we have high expectations of NNIT,” says CIO René Munk-Nissen, Coop.

At NNIT, CEO Per Kogut is also delighted about the agreement with Coop:

”It is a considerable accolade for NNIT that Coop has entrusted us with this core task and we have great respect for the task of ensuring high quality, security and stability in Coop’s IT operations. We are looking forward to a close and intensive collaboration in which we, along with Coop’s people, can contribute to a successful implementation of SAP which makes a real, positive difference to Coop’s business.  We are proud of the fact that Coop chose us and we view it as further proof of our ability to implement and operate business-critical systems for Denmark’s leading companies,” says CEO Per Kogut, NNIT.
