LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH presents most energy-efficient Lichtkanal

LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH has improved its Lichtkanal products with a complete, energy-efficient makeover. The basic development results in a maximum efficiency increase. All light inserts and essential luminaire elements of Lichtkanal 045, 060 and 070 have received the latest updates featuring technical innovations which make them state of the art. In line with the LTS sustainability strategy, all products are continuously reviewed, checked and improved regarding their efficiency. Novelty: Lichtkanal 045, 060 and 070 are now eligible for funding through the Federal Grant Programme for Efficient Buildings (BEG)!

Top performance through increased efficiency

The Research and Development department of LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH has optimized almost everything on the Lichtkanal. The high-quality luminaires are now among the most efficient ones currently available in the market. All components of the LTS Lichtkanal – from the housing through the control unit to light technology – are professionally and skilfully integrated. Always at the highest level and using state-of-the-art technology. To achieve this higher efficiency, LTS has put Lichtkanal to the test for their customers and made adjustments wherever possible: The latest Lichtkanal solutions are even more powerful and feature the lowest power consumption any LTS Lichtkanal has ever shown.

So what has changed exactly?

For the SAE Institute in Berlin-Kreuzberg, an old mill warehouse directly on the Spree was completely gutted and converted. The result is a media school that offers around 300 students an attractive environment for learning and creative project work. The lighting solution from LTS underlines the modern, almost homely interior concept and at the same time creates optimal conditions for VDU work.

Driver update
Lichtkanal now with standardized switch

The light inserts of the Lichtkanal model range will all be equipped with a driver of the latest generation. As of now, all listed Lichtkanal products are DALI-capable, which gives customers maximum flexibility in how to use the luminaire. Dimmability is standard now. In addition to the higher efficiency which has a positive impact on power consumption, the converters excel with their long service life and zero-maintenance. This is an asset for everybody who wants to save more and keep excellent light quality.

On the ground floor is the foyer with public functions such as reception, waiting and exhibition areas with meeting rooms. LTS light channels hover above the reception desk. The three square Lichtkanäle are suspended in an offset pattern, creating a geometrically intertwined light pattern.

Lichtkanal is upgraded
and is the new efficiency hero

A film for contact protection and light mixing is now used in all linear light inserts, which improves efficiency thanks to its higher transparency. It is also possible to integrate the film endlessly to produce a seamless and uninterrupted light pattern.

Opal transparency for radiant efficiency

Lichtkanal 070 receives new acrylic glass covers which are much more efficient thanks to their material mix. The structure of the microprismatic covers is directly imprinted on the material, which helps improve efficiency and save resources. The new covers help maximize the light output with the highest homogeneous illumination possible.
