25 years successful collaboration

Stiftung Liebenau and LTS Licht & Leuchten celebrate 25 years collaboration.

Social responsibility became firmly rooted in the company philosophy of LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH in Tettnang. Already in 1994, the foundation stone was laid for a productive collaboration between the Upper Swabian lighting manufacturer and Stiftung Liebenau. “We are proud on this collaboration and what we jointly developed in the past 25 years”, says Michael Cappello, Managing Director of LTS. “During this period, the workshop has assembled more than 1.5 Mio. luminaires for shops, pharmacies and offices.”, so continues the Managing Director.

For LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH it has always been a subject of great interest to keep the entire assembly and production in the region. Christoph Müller describes it as follows: “Everybody knows the long queues of trucks towards East which we do not want. Stiftung Liebenau is located less than 10 kilometres away from our company location in Tettnang. This guarantees short delivery distances of our products and reduces our CO2 balance. We place great importance on our ecological footprint. The core of the company’s social commitment is responsibility towards our society and social management.

The resulting business collaboration has become sustainable and proven within the past 25 years. With a clear “yes” to Made in Germany the Upper Swabian lighting manufacturer sticks not only to its home on Lake Constance, but also to its cooperation partners. LTS Licht & Leuchten GmbH continues to expand their social commitment. Today, the company collaborates closely with 18 sheltered workshops in the region.

In a close cooperation between the WfbM management and LTS the assembly order and quality monitoring are planned. One example is that the workshops work with illustrated assembly instructions individually designed for the requirement of people with a need for support. Christoph Müller, Head of the Operations Department and the responsible person for the external workshops, is talking about an extra effort LTS is happy to do. “Smiling and proud faces strengthen us in what we do. We can feel the enthusiasm during our regular visits in the workshops.”

LTS would like to thank Stiftung Liebenau for the longstanding and pleasant cooperation, but also all employees with their team leaders who always work reliable and in high quality and therefore support the LTS standards.
