Press release -

New fair beans from Löfbergs Lila

Löfbergs Lila's assortment of whole beans is expanding. Shortly, Kharisma and Jubileum, two of the company's most popular fine-grind coffee, will launch as whole beans. This means that Löfbergs Lila is expanding its assortment of whole beans and offers a number of different characteristics.

- Whole beans are a strongly growing segment. In every ten homes, there is a coffee grinder today. That is why it feels good to be able to offer our consumers a comprehensive assortment, with different roasts and many characteristics, says Leif Sjöblom, marketing manager at Löfbergs Lila.

The whole beans Jubileum and Kharisma are both Rainforest Alliance certified.  This is a part of the sustainability work of Löfbergs Lila where the goal is to make sure that all coffee that the company sells will be certified by 2015. The family-owned coffee roaster is today one of the world's largest importers of ecological and Fairtrade labelled coffee.

Rainforest Alliance is a non-profit organization that works to conserve biodiversity and ensure sustainable development.

More whole beans
The sales of whole beans have really increased in food retailing the last year. It can be explained by the fact that the number of coffee grinders in the Swedish households has increased.

- As passionate coffee enthusiasts, we naturally think that this is a positive trend. Different grinding will give different taste experiences, and it is great that more people are experimenting to find their way to the perfect cup of coffee, says Leif Sjöblom.
