Updated funding forecast for 2022: SEK 150 billion

Kommuninvest’s funding forecast for 2022 has been updated. The long-term funding (maturities longer than one year) is now expected to be approximately SEK 150 billion.

The initial forecast for the year was set at SEK 115-135 billion. In April, the forecast was revised to SEK 125-145 billion. This is now followed by yet another increase.

Funding will, depending on market conditions, be issued in Kommuninvest´s strategic markets: SEK, USD and EUR. The governing rule for the choice of market is the long-term funding cost. This implies that for example the depth and functioning of the markets are taken into consideration.

– The raised forecast is mainly due to large interest and exchange rate movements in a very volatile market. Kommuninvest has a low risk appetite and always good margins for collateral management and in the liquidity reserve. Therefore, the funding forecast is now slightly increased, says Christian Ragnartz, Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
