Updated funding forecast for 2021: SEK 120 billion

Kommuninvest has revised its funding forecast for 2021. The long-term funding (maturities longer than one year) is now expected to be SEK 120 billion.

The previous update, to SEK 120-130 billion, was made in June. The initial forecast for the year was set at SEK 120-140 billion.

Funding will, depending on market conditions, be issued in Kommuninvest´s strategic markets: SEK, USD and EUR.

– Many municipalities and regions are currently in a financial situation where liquidity is good and results are relatively strong. This means that the borrowing needs increase at a slower pace and that we, on our side, get a slightly lower lending growth than previously forecasted, says Christian Ragnartz, Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
