Kommuninvest raises USD 1 billion in new bond

Kommuninvest today issued USD 1 billion in a new bond which matures on 2023-07-05. This was the fifth transaction in 2021 under the USD Benchmark Programme.

The order book included more than 30 investors and summed up at USD 1.6 billion. The bond was priced at 6 basis points below mid-swaps and 3.7 basis points above corresponding US Treasuries.

For Kommuninvest, the USD market continues to present good terms and a pricing at roughly the same level as in the SEK market.

– This was yet another positive transaction in the USD market. Investor interest was strong. The order book was large and well diversified. The USD market has throughout the year been an important tool in our work to secure cost-efficient financing of investments in the municipal sector in Sweden, says Tobias Landström, Deputy Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
