Kommuninvest raises EUR 500 million in new Green Bond

Kommuninvest today raised EUR 500 million in a new Green Bond maturing on 2029-09-01. This was the 15th green transaction so far.

This was the first bond issued in EUR since Kommuninvest's decision in 2019 to establish three strategic funding markets: SEK, USD and EUR.

Investor interest was strong. The order book included over 60 investors, with bids totalling more than EUR 1.8 billion. The transaction was priced at 4 basis points below mid-swaps.

Kommuninvest now has a total of approximately SEK 61 billion outstanding in 8 Green Bonds. In addition to today’s EUR bond, five of them are in SEK and two in USD.

– Our Green Bonds continue to meet high demand from investors. Until now, we have done our green funding in SEK and USD. That we today made a very positive green transaction in our third strategic market, EUR, was a good step in the right direction. Our Green Bonds Programme, which now includes more than 500 green investment projects, is an important factor in the dynamic sustainability work carried out in the municipal sector in Sweden, says Tobias Landström, Deputy Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
