Press release -
Kommuninvest issues SEK 7 billion in new Green Bond
Kommuninvest today issued SEK 7 billion in a new Green Bond. It is denominated in SEK and matures on 2027-11-26. This was the 11th green transaction and the largest one in SEK. Only the Swedish Government, among public sector issuers, has made a larger green transaction in the SEK market.
Investor interest was strong. More than 30 Swedish and international investors participated in the order book, which reached above SEK 9,5 billion. The transaction was priced at 11 basis points above mid-swaps.
- I am glad to see the very positive dynamics of green financing. Many municipalities and regions are moving quickly forward in the development of green investment projects. At the same time, investors are showing strong interest in our Green Bonds. Today, it was particularly positive that more than half of the order book consisted of international investors. So far, the green trend seems to have intensified, rather than weakened, during the Corona pandemic, says Tobias Landström, Deputy Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
After the completion of this transaction, Kommuninvest has a total of approximately SEK 42.5 billion outstanding in six Green Bonds, four of which are in SEK and two in USD.
