Kommuninvest issues SEK 3.5 billion in new Green Bond

Kommuninvest today raised SEK 3.5 billion (USD 0.3 billion) in a new Green Bond. This was the 16th green transaction so far. The bond is denominated in SEK and matures on 2025-09-01.

After this transaction, Kommuninvest has a total of around SEK 67 billion outstanding in nine Green Bonds – six of which are in SEK, two in USD and one in EUR.

Investor interest was strong. The order book consisted of 28 Swedish and international investors. The transaction was priced at 4 basis points below mid-swaps.

– Our Green Bonds continue to be in high demand. We were pleased to see such a large and diversified orderbook, including several of the leading investors within sustainable finance. Up until now these bonds, via our Green Loans, have contributed to financing more than 550 green investment projects throughout the municipal sector in Sweden, says Christian Ragnartz, Head of Debt Management at Kommuninvest.
