日立が鉄道運行会社のAbellio社から標準型近郊車両「AT-200」の優先交渉権を獲得
株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼COO:東原 敏昭／以下、日立)の英国における鉄道システム事業会社である日立レールヨーロッパ社(取締役会長兼CEO:Alistair Dormer)は、鉄道運行会社のAbellio社(本社:オランダ)から、標準型近郊車両「AT-200」234両(70編成)の納入ならびに長期保守契約の優先交渉権を獲得しました。「AT-200」における優先交渉権の獲得は今回が初となります。
英国鉄道市場で多くの実績がある鉄道運行会社のAbellio社は、スコットランド運輸省より、スコットランドにおける鉄道運行のフランチャイズ権を獲得しました。Abellio社が運行する路線には、エディンバラ～グラスゴー改修計画(EGIP)の対象路線などが含まれています。
