日立が英国都市間高速鉄道計画向け車両を公開
株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼COO:東原 敏昭／以下、日立)は、2012年7月に受注した英国運輸省(DfT:Department for Transport)の都市間高速鉄道計画(IEP:Intercity Express Programme)向けに製造している車両を公開しました。公開した車両は2014年中に完成予定で、2015年前半に走行試験のため、英国に向けて発送される予定です。
なお、本プロジェクトは英国運輸省が主導するPPP(Public Private Partnership)スキームで実施されており、株式会社国際協力銀行および、独立行政法人日本貿易保険による金融支援を受けています。
