日立が英国ネットワークレール社から欧州統一規格に準拠した車上信号装置を受注
株式会社日立製作所(執行役社長兼COO:東原 敏昭／以下、日立)の英国における鉄道システム事業会社である日立レールヨーロッパ社(取締役会長兼CEO:Alistair Dormer)は、英国ネットワークレール社(Network Rail／以下、NR)から、欧州の鉄道における統一列車制御システム規格であるETCS*1に準拠した車上信号装置を日本企業として初めて受注しました。受注したETCS車上信号装置は、英国カンブリアン線(Shrewsbury～Pwllheli間／215km)を走行する2両のClass 37ディーゼル機関車に搭載され、2015年8月から用いられる予定です。
