FERLING become the first Hungarian agency to receive CMS accreditation

FERLING, a PR and communications agency in Hungary, has achieved a significant milestone by becoming the first agency in the country to be awarded the Communication Management Standard (CMS). This internationally recognised quality certification is exclusively reserved for PR and communications agencies.

József Ferling, Founder and Owner, Ferling said:

“This accreditation is an integral part of the strategic program to transform FERLING into a public limited company offering both employee and management share ownership within a few years. Our aim is to operate as a sustainable, high quality, transparent company even without the personal involvement of shareholders. An agency practice that can ensure continuous professional development, stability, profitability and, in turn, increasing company value.”

The accreditation was made available in Hungary in 2022 by ICCO member Hungarian Public Relations Association (MPRSZ). First developed by PRCA in the UK, the standard is mandatory in several ICCO member countries and adoption is rapidly growing across the globe.

The professional audit

The audits have been conducted by the independent audit organisation, AgencyExperts, and its auditors, Patrick Schober, Managing Partner, PRAM Consulting, assessed FERLING on their professionalism in leadership, business planning, business improvement, financial systems, campaign management, client satisfaction, new business, people management, amongst other criteria.

Rob Morbin, Deputy Chief Executive, ICCO said:

“FERLING passing CMS is a positive development for the Hungarian PR industry and sets a benchmark for other agencies to follow. It is increasingly necessary for professional, ethically operating agencies to distinguish themselves from the competition giving reassurance to both their clients and staff. I look forward to seeing CMS grow in Hungary and hope this is the first of many more new markets to take the leap.”
