INDIGO acquired by HEAD

New product development and ambitious growth targets in the premium winter sports segment

Munich, 05 October 2020. HEAD, the global sporting goods group, has taken over the Munich‐based winter sports manufacturer and marketeer of premium winter sports equipment. As part of HEAD, INDIGO is planning to accelerate the development of trend‐setting innovations of skis, helmets and goggles.

INDIGO in the premium sector for over 30 years

Since 1988, the INDIGO brand represents extraordinary products in the field of sport and lifestyle. Engineering know‐how meets passion for sport and design, as the ski and snowboard manufacturer combine high‐quality materials, craftsmanship and technical perfection. Numerous innovations in the pipeline

A key driver of the takeover was the commitment of the two INDIGO founders and innovation drivers, Thorsten Schwabe and Gregor Baer, to continue the product development and brand building. A highly innovative new ski helmet is already in development, with the aim of setting new standards in terms of safety and comfort.

International expansion planned

As part of the HEAD group, INDIGO will have access to a global distribution network of over 80 countries. Important new target markets are the USA and Asia. A strong push will be made in social media and e‐commerce in order to further increase brand awareness and address new target groups.
