HEAD Scandinavia: Even better sales support for Sweden, Denmark and Finland
HEAD Sport GmbH opens its new subsidiary in Aare, Sweden on 01 July 2020. HEAD Scandinavia will focus on supporting the Swedish, Danish and Finnish markets. Brand footprint will ultimately be increased in these three countries and the quality of service further improved.
In addition to its location in Aare, HEAD will open an office and a showroom in Stockholm, the Swedish capital. Previously, Sweden, Denmark and Finland were each served by their own importers. One of the most loyal of them, Interski, is based in Aare and has been working with HEAD for 23 years. HEAD Scandinavia will exclusively hire proven managers from the current importers as employees in the new sales structure. This will ensure that business continues smoothly in all three countries.
"We want to align our sales structure with the current requirements of dealerships in Sweden, Denmark and Finland. With HEAD Scandinavia we will be able to offer the most advanced distribution service featuring logistics at the highest level. In addition, we want to further increase our already excellent brand footprint in these three countries," says Peter Schott, General Manager International Trade at HEAD Sport GmbH.
Racket sport also to be part of HEAD Scandinavia
HEAD Scandinavia starts business on 01 July 2020 and will ship the master orders for winter 2020/21 to each customer from the international warehouse in Klaus, Austria. They will also supply Denmark and Finland with racket sports products. Starting 01 January 2021 HEAD Racket Sport Sweden will be integrated into HEAD Scandinavia. Until then racket sport business in Sweden will be handled by the distribution partner Magnus Gustafsson (GSL). In Denmark, the current importer Coolsport will be the agent for the entire Danish market and report to HEAD Scandinavia. Marko Pitkäranta from Anglo Nordic will be responsible for the Finnish market as the sales representative.
Jonas Westlund of Interski to manage HEAD Scandinavia
Interski's Wintersport Manager Jonas Westlund will take over the management of HEAD Scandinavia. John Tollin, son of Interski founder Micke Tollin, will take on the role of Category Manager Winter Sports. Nyklas Nyberg of GSL and another sales person round off the sales team for Swedish racket sport. Nyklas Nyberg will also be responsible for Category Management in this division for all three markets. The HEAD Scandinavia team will be completed by two proven Customer Service specialists from Interski who will be based in the new headquarters in Aare.
