Less than Container Load service by sea from Asia to Europe
They say “sharing is caring”. This is most certainly true, not least when it comes to moving goods. Shipping empty containers is hugely wasteful. Sharing space, on the other hand, contributes to a more sustainable environment – and also provides one or two advantages for shippers. At Greencarrier Freight Services, we recently improved our LCL service by sea between China and Europe. Keep reading to find out more!
Eliminating the steps and intermediate nodes in the shipping process
Shipping is all about managing the goods flow in the best way possible. There are always a number of factors that can affect the goods on its journey from the starting point to the end destination. The more steps and intermediate nodes, the larger are the risks of transshipment problems and the consequences that follow. This can include long transit times, congestion in ports, delays, damaged or lost goods or negative impact on the environment. When these things happen, they leave the shipper with unnecessarily high costs and, worst case, unsatisfied customers. However, if you can minimise or eliminate the steps and intermediate nodes of the shipping process, you will have a faster, safer, and much more reliable solution.
Improving our Less than Container Load service based on market needs
We have been offering LCL services on scheduled departures to and from most ports in Asia and the North European countries for many years now. But more importantly, we are constantly working to improve our shipping services.
By keeping our ears close to the ground and listening to the market needs of the shipping industry, we realised that there was an increasing need for a direct shipping service for consolidated goods between China and Europe. We could also see that the trend of shippers reaching for more sustainable solutions and eco-friendly shipping alternatives, was only growing stronger.
