This summer the Grand Hôtel will be offering a completely new experience on the football scene in Stockholm. The Veranda restaurant is opening a major pop-up restaurant in the Winter Garden, showing UEFA Euro football matches in June and July. A unique restaurant experience with 360° projection technology will put guests right in the middle of all the action.

On Friday, April 30, the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm will be reopening its main entrance after extensive renovation. The new main entrance is part of a larger facade project that began back in 2018, harmonizing the hotel’s beautiful interior with its new facade, which conveys the hotel’s rich heritage. Key quality aspects of the new entrance include improved accessibility and greater sustainability.
The Cadier Bar at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm attracts guests from near and far with its international vibe and curated cocktail offering. Now taking the next step in its evolution, the Cadier Bar is presenting a new cocktail menu with distinct taste perceptions that bring memories to life.
Mathias Dahlgren opened Matbaren in 2007 at the Grand Hôtel in Stockholm. At that time, such a groundbreaking restaurant concept had never been seen on the Swedish restaurant scene. Since then, the restaurant has evolved while maintaining the same menu composition – until now.
The Grand Hôtel in Stockholm recently completed an extensive renovation of hotel rooms and suites, encompassing a total of 19 rooms and suites in the Bolinderska Palace part of the hotel.
Today Hanna Oscarsson at the Cadier Bar, Grand Hôtel, was announced the winner in the prestigious Art of Italicus 2020 Glo-Cal Edition. The Glo-Cal edition involved up to 80 bars, 80 bartenders, and was hosted across 10 cities. Participating bartenders were asked to present an Italicus Aperitivo cocktail inspired by their local region for the chance to be named the Best Bartender Artist 2020.
The Grand Hôtel in Stockholm is the first hotel in Sweden to achieve the Global Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR™ facility accreditation for its stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and biorisk preparedness. The accreditation demonstrates that the hotel actively implements best-practice cleaning processes to prevent the spread of infection, including COVID-19.
The opening of the Grand Hôtel’s exclusive new champagne bar marks a welcome addition to the Stockholm bar and restaurant scene. At the bar, guests will have the unique opportunity to enjoy an extensive range of prestige cuvées by the glass, including Ruinart Blanc de Blancs, Dom Pérignon and Krug. The champagne bar, launched in collaboration with Ruinart, is opening in autumn 2020.

A visit to one of the royal palaces or the royal parks is a great way to get to know more about Royal Stockholm. In July, HM The King decided that four of the royal castles should reopen to visitors. In addition to these four palaces, the surrounding parks at the other royal destinations are open. The parks are amazing destinations for beautiful walks filled with sculptures and garden art.
