Nordic digital infrastructure and connectivity provider GlobalConnect appoints Uffe Tomasson as its new Group COO (Chief Operating Officer). Tomasson comes from a position as Chief Network Officer at German connectivity provider Deutsche Glasfaser and will assume his new position on April 1, 2023.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Uffe to the team. With his vast international experience and strategic mindset, he has all the right characteristics needed to support GlobalConnect on the journey we are on. I’m positive that Uffe’s efforts will contribute to our continuous efficiency improvements across our pan-Nordic organization, by securing operations and process management, so that we can keep improving our customer experience while growing our business,” says Per Morten Torvildsen, Executive Vice President, NetCo.

Before joining Deutsche Glasfaser, Tomasson was VP, Head of Delivery at TDC, where he held several leading positions between 2016 and 2021. He also brings more than a decade of experience from various international leading positions within Nokia Networks and Nokia Siemens Networks.

“GlobalConnect stands for me as a great opportunity to bring critical infrastructure to support the businesses, people and government institutions in our area. Providing great customer service while supporting the digitalization in our markets are matters that I find interesting and I am looking forward to starting that journey with a challenger approach,” says new Group COO, Uffe Tomasson.

Uffe Tomasson holds a Master of Science from the Technical University of Denmark and lives in Copenhagen with his family. He will be a part of the Executive Leadership Team and report to Executive Vice President, NetCo, Per Morten Torvildsen.
