Central Denmark Region extends contract with Falck until 2021

Central Denmark Region has extended its contract on ambulance and patient transport with Falck. Falck will deliver ambulances and laying patient transport in the region until 30 November 2021.

Central Denmark Region is making use of an option in the existing contract. The extension of 24 months is the maximum period that the contract can be extended and the contract will continue on unchanged terms.

Security for the citizens

Chairman of the Regional Council in Central Denmark Region, Anders Kühnau, is very pleased with the agreement.

- With the extension of the existing contract we ensure continuity and maximum security for our citizens. They can continue to count on getting the best possible help if they get critically ill or seriously injured, or if they need transport between hospitals as part of their treatment, says Anders Kühnau.

Good cooperation

Jørgen Mieritz, Director of Falck Ambulance Denmark, welcomes the decision of Central Denmark Regionto extend the existing contract.

- Our cooperation with Central Denmark Region is excellent both regarding ambulance services and patient transport. I am very pleased that our cooperation will continue for at least four more years, says Jørgen Mieritz.

On a daily basis, Falck supplies 54 ambulances and 28 patient transport vehicles in Central Denmark Region.
