Eyevinn Technology Joins SRT Alliance for High Quality, Low Latency Video Streaming Over the Internet

Stockholm, Sweden May 6th, 2020 – Eyevinn Technology - the European leading independent experts specializing in video technology and media distribution, today announced that they have joined the SRT Alliance, the open-source initiative dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming.

Eyevinn Technology will use SRT to help customers to integrate secure, low latency streaming to their workflows.

As part of Eyevinn Technology’s overall strategy to help broadcasters, operators, technology providers and, content owner to provide the best TV experience, becoming a member of the SRT Alliance was a natural step.

The SRT Alliance, founded by Haivision in April 2017, already has more than 350 members. Its mission is to overcome the challenges of lowlatency live streaming by supporting the collaborative development of SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) Open Source, the fastest growing open source streaming project. SRT is a free open source video transport protocol and technology stack originally developed and pioneered by Haivision that enables the delivery of high-quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.
