ETP Transmission re-launches their popular ETP-HYLOC
ETP Transmissions’ innovative hydromechanical hub-shaft connection ETP-HYLOC, is now available on the market with the new “plug and play”-concept. The hub-shaft connection is especially suited to work in heavy operations such as steel rolling mills and process industries.
– ETP-HYLOC is fast to mount, has good concentricity and can take high torque and radial loads, it’s definitely the perfect solution for heavy operations, says Peter Kremsl, Application Designer - Power Transmission, at ETP Transmission.
ETP-HYLOC was originally launched over thirty years ago and has since been well-used all over the world. The hub-shaft is unique for many reasons, one being because of how fast it is to mount while at the same time being able to handle heavy loads in nearly all sorts of industries.
– ETP-HYLOC is very easy to use and specially compared to traditional mechanical hub-shaft connections with a lot of screws that you have to tighten which is quite time consuming as well as difficult. With our solution, you connect the pump and then it takes about one minute until it's done. ETP-HYLOC is very easy to use as well as quick to assemble and disassemble, says Peter. There are two different kinds of pumps to choose from when mount or dismantle the unit and each of them are now equipped with fast hydraulic connections hence the Plug & Play concept.
ETP-HYLOC - available worldwide
ETP-HYLOC is available as standard for shafts 50 - 220 millimeter and designed for a high number of mountings, however ETP Transmission also offers customized models on request. The hub-shaft connection is available for all countries over the world, Europe, USA, South America, China and Japan are just a few of the countries that currently are using ETP-HYLOC. After assembling the connection the pump is removed, which means that the usage of the pump is only for a short amount of time. Now Peter Kremsl and his team at ETP Transmission are looking forward to the relaunch coming up in June 2021.
– It feels great. We believe the new concept is going to be very well received - it's Plug and Play, just like plugging in a unit to the wall socket concludes Peter.
