Press release -
Become the next Elephant Parade Superstar!
Elephant Parade has today launched the Global Elephant Parade Artbox Contest, presented by Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas: an art competition that will challenge people from all around the world to paint their own 15cm elephant.
Across the last 7 years, 14 expositions have taken place and over 1000 artists, designers and celebrities have taken part in Elephant Parades across the world. The competition is aimed to find upcoming and undiscovered artists while raising awareness of Asian elephant conservation.
The contest runs from July 1st, 2014 to January 31st, 2015. A jury of curators will select the 10 best design entries, which will then be posted on Facebook. People will then be encouraged to vote for their favorite design, which will then be painted onto a full sized elephant and will be part of the Elephant Parade Bangkok in 2015.
In addition to that, the winner will be flown to Bangkok to reveal their design at the Elephant Parade VIP Launch Party. The prize also includes three nights accommodation at Anantara Riverside Resort & Spa. Second and Third prize winners will receive a three night stay package at Anantara Chiang Mai Resort & Spa where they will visit Elephant Parade House and meet Mosha, the inspiration behind Elephant Parade. There are also seven prizes for highly commended entries!
The contest is presented by Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas. Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas have a great ethos with regards to giving back to nature and have run numerous successful programs to help Asian elephants.
Mike Spits, Founder of Elephant Parade, commented: “We are really looking forward to seeing the design entries for the Global Artbox Contest. We encourage people to invite their friends and family members to paint elephants and really get behind the contest by sharing details on their social media platforms - the more entries we get, the better the competition will be. We are delighted to be partnering with Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas for this exciting new concept and look forward to working with them on the forthcoming Elephant Parade in Bangkok in 2015.”
Those who wish to enter the Global Elephant Parade Artbox Contest, can purchase an artbox via the Elephant Parade webshop and at other retailers worldwide.
