Get Your Photo Featured in a Special Exhibition at The Royal Danish Theatre During Copenhagen Photo Festival
When the Copenhagen Photo Festival kicks off from June 12–22, it will showcase exhibitions from some of the world’s most renowned and talented photographic artists — and possibly from you, too.
This year, Copenhagen Photo Festival isn’t just spotlighting professional photographers at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. The festival is now inviting everyone — regardless of experience — to submit a personal photo for a chance to be part of a special exhibition in the historic setting of the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. The special exhibition celebrates photography’s power to tell stories, stir emotions, and create connections. Whether it’s a documentary shot, an artistic experiment, or a cherished memory, Copenhagen Photo Festival invites everyone to exhibit their image.
- Everyone is welcome to submit their most meaningful, powerful, or beautiful photographs and become part of Copenhagen Photo Festival this year, says Festival Director Maja Dyrehauge Gregersen.
Part of a Bigger Picture
The special exhibition is closely tied to this year’s festival theme: ‘Fremkaldelser – Into the Light’.
- The open call and the collective photo exhibition are our way of giving people the opportunity to share their own stories and become part of a larger artistic whole. It’s an important step in our mission to make art more accessible and to create new connections between the public and the arts, says Festival Director Maja Dyrehauge Gregersen.
The special exhibition will be displayed alongside works by this year’s selected solo artists, as well as the world-renowned Magnum photographer, Martin Parr, at the Royal Danish Theatre.
The deadline for submissions is May 16, 2025. Everyone who submits a photo will automatically be entered into a draw to win two tickets to the Copenhagen Photo Festival.
