Nomi Highchair honored by the European Union and their Safety authority members

28 Safety Boards from EU Member States, in consultation with NGO child safety experts, have honored Nomi by Evomove with the prestigious "Product Safety Award 2019".

Nomi was the only high chair to qualify among the finalists who count baby equipment and children's furniture from across the EU. The award is given to brands and manufacturers who go the extra mile to ensure children's safety. A total of 6 awards and 2 special mentions were given in 2 categories - large companies and small companies.

The Nomi highchair from the Danish company Evomove was honored in Brussels on Thursday evening by the EU's latest product safety initiative "Product safety award 2019". The award focuses on state of the art safety dedication in the whole baby equipment industry and all EU Member State security experts have been involved in the selection of brands who live and breathe product safety and have demonstrated through their work that they go far beyond safety regulations.

Evomove's highchair concept Nomi was honored for its pioneering innovation and their solution to one of the most dominant mishaps when it comes to highchairs - rearwards tilt. As the first high-chair manufacturer, Evomove introduced a built-in anti-tilt wheel, which virtually eliminates the risk of one of the most frequent and worst possible accidents with highchairs. In Denmark alone, it is estimated that 500 children annually is reported at the hospital with serious head injuries as a result of rearward tilt on conventional designed high chairs. That's the equivalent of more than one child a day! - and if that number is scaled up, it means that there are more than 4 children per hour who end up in a hospital somewhere in the European Union with head injuries due to tilt accidents.

The Nomi high chair was the only highchair that managed to go all the way to the finals, resulting in a Silver Award.

Since its launch in 2013, Nomi has won numerous awards and has been voted by the Danish Consumer council  as "Best in test" in a large national highchair test. Nomi also won as "Test winner" in the German Stiftung Warentest in 2018. In addition, the largest circulated family media in Scandinavia "Vores Børn" for five consecutive years has rated Nomi as the best high chair on the market.

Nomi was launched in 2013, with the mission to make the world a safer place to sit. By winning a Product Safety Award 2019, they have walked the talk and positioned Nomi as a lighthouse in the baby -safety-industry, while reminding the competitors and consumers that children themselves have no choice.
