Young Danish Talent Alba Hurup Larsen Ready for Formula 4 Test Programme with Prema Racing

15-year-old Danish racing talent and winner of FIA Girls On Track – Rising Stars, Alba Hurup Larsen, will test with the renowned Italian junior team Prema Racing this fall. The goal is a Formula 4 debut in 2025.

In December, she won FIA Girls On Track – Rising Stars and was crowned as the fastest female racing driver in her class in a shootout with seven other selected talents. Now, Alba Hurup Larsen from Roskilde, Denmark, is ready to take on the reward: A Formula 4 test programme with the renowned Italian junior team Prema Racing.

“I am extremely excited to start the test programme! This is the next step in a development that began with Rising Stars, and another important challenge where I need to perform optimally to move forward towards my goal of becoming the first Danish female Formula 1 driver,” says Alba Hurup Larsen.

Prema Racing, an established top team in the junior series Formula 4, Formula 3, and Formula 2, is known for having brought names like Charles Leclerc, Pierre Gasly, and Esteban Ocon to Formula 1. Official Ferrari junior drivers such as the female F1 Academy participant, Maya Weug, and the newly appointed Formula 1 driver Oliver Bearman are also affiliated with the Italian team.

“This is good news! With Prema Racing, Alba is now among some of the industry's best, and I know that with her dedicated will and great talent, she will do everything required of her to complete the programme in the best possible way,” says Formula 1 driver and mentor for Alba Hurup Larsen, Kevin Magnussen.

The test programme, which aims to develop Alba Hurup Larsen's potential towards a Formula 4 debut in 2025 kicks off with a two-day test on September 18-19 at the Italian racetrack Circuito Tazio Nuvolari. The programme is established in collaboration with manager Oliver Kristensen from 5P Athletes & Brands.

The 15-year-old Dane has long been preparing and, alongside her busy karting schedule, has completed several Formula 4 tests with the Spanish junior team TC Racing. During the summer, Alba also participated in a training camp with Ferrari’s talent team, Ferrari Academy, at the Italian karting facility Franciacorta.
