NLS2: Bastian Buus Aiming for Nürburgring Podium

The Danish Porsche factory driver continues his preparations for this summer’s 24-hour race with round two of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie this weekend.

Bastian Buus is back on track this coming weekend as the second round of the German Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie takes place on the legendary circuit. The race marks another important step in the lead-up to one of the highlights of the 2025 calendar — the Nürburgring 24 Hours in June — and once again, Buus will race for the Pirelli-sponsored and factory-supported Porsche team, Dinamic GT.

“It’s always great to be back at the Nürburgring. It’s the world’s longest and most notorious racetrack, and you never stop learning it. I’ve become a permanent part of the project, which is not only about preparing the team for the 24-hour race, but also continuing the development of tyre compounds,” says Bastian Buus.

The Dinamic GT team was on course for a sure podium finish in the opening round of the NLS championship in March, but a penalty late in the race dropped Bastian Buus and Matteo Cairoli to fourth place. This time, Buus will partner with his other teammate for the 24-hour race, Joel Sturm, and the duo is hoping for redemption.

“It’s important for us to finish on the podium in the NLS series, as it guarantees us a spot in the top qualifying session for the 24-hour race. That means we automatically advance from the initial qualifying round and secure a place in the top tier of what will be a very large field. Everything that brings us closer to success at the 24 Hours counts,” the Dane adds.

The second round of this year’s Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie goes green on Saturday, April 26 at 12:00 noon. A total of 140 cars are entered for the four-hour race, with Buus and Sturm set to compete against eight other cars in the top-tier PRO category. The race will be streamed live on YouTube.
