Aon Names Allan Karlsen as Chief Operating Officer for EMEA
COPENHAGEN, Sept. 12, 2022 – Aon plc (NYSE: AON), a leading global professional services firm, has named Allan Karlsen as chief operating officer (COO) EMEA, effective Sept. 5, 2022. He will also continue as interim CEO for Aon Denmark and its subsidiaries.
Karlsen joined Aon in late 2015. In addition to his role for Aon Denmark, he is also chairman of the Board at Aon Norway and Aon Finland and a member of the Board at Aon Sweden. Karlsen previously worked for GE Consumer Finance as CEO for Denmark and as a member of the Nordic Regional Leadership Team, for GE Insurance's spin-off, Genworth, as general manager for Northern Europe and in other roles as CEO and VP within the private equity and technology, media and telecom industries.
“Allan possesses extensive knowledge in the areas of operational efficiency, process optimization and client service excellence. As CEO of Aon Denmark, he has sponsored several growth initiatives and works with several clients, allowing him to also bring a strong client perspective to this new role,” said Eduardo Dávila, EMEA CEO, Aon.
Allan holds a Master's Degree in Business Economics & Administration from one of the leading Universities in Denmark and has completed various Executive Leadership Training programs at INSEAD, Henley and other International Business Schools.
