THE MAFIA AND BRITAIN

Brand New | Saturdays from 12 October at 21:45

Britain’s connection with the mafia throughout history is investigated by English actor and presenter Ross Kemp.

Mafia bosses, capos and hitmen have lived all over the UK, some in the most unlikely of places, from caravan parks to shoe shops, semi-detached houses to coffee shops.

Ross Kemp goes on a global journey to follow a trail of illegal money and drugs along an intricate path where history meets globalisation to reveal the true reality of Britain’s historical relationship with the mob.

Ross learns about Britain's role in establishing the mafia through British exports of alcohol during prohibition to the relationship between the five families and the notorious Kray Twins and gambling in the 1960s; the fall of the US mob to RICO and the impact that had on the Colombian drug cartels.

HITLER’S BRITISH ISLAND

Brand New | Tuesdays 29 October at 21:45

Alderney, a tiny island in the English Channel, is the site of one of the darkest and most mysterious chapters in the history of World War II.

Given the sinister code-name 'Adolf Island', Alderney became a pre-occupation for Hitler and was transformed into one of the most heavily fortified places on earth. Away from prying eyes, the Nazis also established a concentration camp, the only one on British soil, amid the idyllic scenery of woodlands and silver sand beaches.

But how many people were murdered there? And why were the Nazi killers never brought to justice?

In this brand-new EMEA commission, Hitler's British Island will reveal the startling death toll - far in excess of the number recorded by wartime investigators. And following painstaking research by expert historians, will reveal how Nazi war criminals were allowed to go free, with the reason covered-up for 80 years.

ANCIENT ALIENS

H2 Favourite | Weekdays from 1 October at 20:15

Ancient Aliens examines 75 million years of the most credible alien evidence here on Earth, from the age of the dinosaurs to ancient Egypt, to the skies over the western desert in the present-day US. Ancient cave drawings of strange creatures, an asphalt-like substance in an Egyptian pyramid made from the remains of unidentified creatures, continued mass sightings in the USA - these are just a few of the strange stories that will be investigated.

UFO HUNTERS

H2 Favourite | Mondays from 14 October at 21:45

Follow the team from UFO Magazine as they open their files and investigate UFO cases around the world. The team includes Bill Birnes, Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, Dr. Ronnie Milione, who has a doctorate in electrical engineering and Pat Uskert, a contributing journalist whose specialty is securing access to UFO documentation.

The team's access to UFO evidence is unparalleled - and their expertise allows them to quickly identify bogus claims of UFOs. Together, the they use eyewitness accounts, scientific experimentation, documents recently released through the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), and footage that has never been seen on television, to piece together compelling - and at times chilling - evidence of UFO phenomena.
