Auf ins Auslands-Schuljahr: Aroundtown Foundation unterstützt erneut die Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung
Die Aroundtown Foundation unterstützt die Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung zum wiederholten Mal und setzt damit das Engagement für Bildungsgerechtigkeit und Jugendförderung fort. Dieses Mal wird die Geldspende zwei Stipendien für Schüler:innen finanzieren, die das Schuljahr 2024/25 in den USA oder Irland verbringen möchten.
Die Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung widmet sich seit der Gründung der Bildungsgleichheit und Jugendarbeit. Das Projekt "Experience the World" ermöglicht Jugendlichen im Alter von 16 bis 18 Jahren ein Auslands-Schuljahr zu erleben. Das Programm richtet sich an die Jugendlichen, für die ein Auslandsjahr ohne finanzielle Unterstützung nicht möglich wäre. Diese Erfahrung eines Auslandsjahres fördert die Persönlichkeitsentwicklung der Schüler:innen, indem sie selbstbewusster, selbstständiger und konfliktfähiger werden. Zudem erwerben sie automatisch interkulturelle Kompetenzen und Fremdsprachenkenntnisse.
Für das neue Austauschjahr 2024/2025 plant die Kreuzberger Kinderstiftung mindestens 60 Stipendien zu vergeben, 10 mehr als im Vorjahr. Dazu trägt auch die Spende der Aroundtown Foundation bei, die sich damit erneut für Projekte zur Förderung von Kindern und Jugendlichen einsetzt.

Off to a school year abroad: Aroundtown Foundation once again supports the Kreuzberg Children's Foundation
The Aroundtown Foundation is once again supporting the Kreuzberg Children's Foundation, continuing its commitment to educational equality and youth development. This time, the donation will fund two scholarships for students who would like to spend the 2024/25 school year in the USA or Ireland.
The Kreuzberg Children's Foundation has been dedicated to educational equality and youth work since it was founded. The "Experience the World" project enables young people aged 16 to 18 to spend a school year abroad. The program is aimed at young people for whom a year abroad would not be possible without financial support. This experience of a year abroad promotes the students' personal development by making them more self-confident, independent and able to deal with conflict. They also automatically acquire intercultural skills and foreign language skills.
For the new exchange year 2024/2025, the Kreuzberg Children's Foundation plans to award at least 60 scholarships, 10 more than in the previous year. The donation from the Aroundtown Foundation, which is once again supporting projects to promote children and young people, will also contribute to this.
