Aroundtown Foundation setzt sich für Jugend-Förderung ein und unterstützt apropolis Demokratie-Camp

Die Aroundtown Foundation unterstützt den Verein apropolis finanziell bei der Durchführung eines Sommer-Camps für junge Menschen. Das fünftägige Demokratie-Camp fand im vergangenen August im niedersächsischen Seminarort Klein Gaddau statt.

Das Sommer-Camp zielte darauf ab, Verständnis und Wertschätzung für Demokratie bei Jugendlichen zu fördern. In interaktiven Einheiten beschäftigten sich die Teilnehmenden mit Fragen wie: "Was macht unsere Demokratie besonders?", "Wie können wir sie schützen?" und "Wie erkennen und begegnen wir Populismus?" Die Jugendlichen erlernten dabei wertvolle Kompetenzen wie den respektvollen Diskurs, Überzeugungsfähigkeit und demokratische Entscheidungsfindung. Neben Freizeitprogramm wie einer Kanu-Tour wurden zusätzlich ergänzende Trainings zu Redekunst und überzeugender Argumentation angeboten.

Aroundtown Foundation engages in youth development and supports apropolis democracy camp

The Aroundtown Foundation provides financial support to the apropolis association for the organization of a summer camp for young people. The five-day democracy camp took place last August at the seminar location Klein Gaddau in Lower Saxony.

The summer camp aimed to promote understanding and appreciation for democracy among young people. In interactive sessions, participants explored questions such as "What makes our democracy special?", "How can we protect it?" and "How can we recognize and counter populism? The young people learned valuable skills such as respectful discourse, persuasion, and democratic decision-making. In addition to recreational activities such as a canoe trip, supplementary training in public speaking and persuasive argumentation was offered.
