Sulapac has won Scanstar award with Kohinoor jewellery packaging by Finnish jewellery and silverware company Kultakeskus. Scanstar is a joint Nordic packaging competition held annually since 1969 by the Scandinavian Packaging Association.
Fazer and Sulapac have begun collaborating, with the aim of researching, developing and testing plastic-free, biodegradable packaging solutions for foodstuffs. The cooperation started in May. It supports Fazer's strategy and objective of becoming a responsible, modern food company that seeks to reduce the use of plastic with the help of new technologies.
Mika Ihamuotila and Planvest Oy have invested in the company in order to accelerate its internationalisation and R&D, which aims at replacing plastic with fully biodegradable material.
