Yvonne Höglund is a certified HR specialist and the latest member of Furetank’s owner family to step into the company. She has taken on the role as HR director, bringing experience from many years in retail and other industry segments.

Furetank adds another two Vinga vessels to the order line, marking a milestone for the shipping company. Upon delivery, Furetank’s fleet will consist entirely of environmentally proven, top standard vessels with an average age of two years. ”We did our homework. This development towards sustainability has been an amazing journey”, says CEO Lars Höglund.

Furetank CEO Lars Höglund was invited to the Swedish parliament to emphasize the importance of Swedish shipping in times of crisis. Together with the Swedish shipowners’ Association and unions he demanded political action to invigorate an industry which is internationally disfavoured by national legislation.

Furetank and Algoma Central Corporation expand the FureBear joint venture with two additional vessel orders, bringing the total newbuild order to ten intermediate product tankers to trade in Northern Europe. Reducing the methane slip is a vital challenge in taking LNG-fueled ships towards zero greenhouse gas emissions. Now the Finnish marine technology supplier Wärtsilä and Swedish shipping company Furetank are co-developing and testing two technologies showing the potential to halve the methane slip.

In a time of large investments and intense development, Furetank’s board of directors has appointed Jonatan Höglund to be the company’s new Deputy CEO. This also marks the milestone of a new generation Höglund moving into top management of the family-owned shipping company.
Furetank, based on Donsö in the Gothenburg archipelago, is a Swedish, family-owned shipping company active in tanker shipping since the early 1950’s. Furetank operates our own vessels and is a founding member of the Gothia Tanker Alliance: a market platform for small and intermediate product tankers, operating 40 vessels in European waters.
