Citybox and Aton have signed an agreement to open a hotel in the center of Stavanger.

Citybox has signed a long-term lease agreement with the property developer Aton for 123 rooms in the center of Stavanger. The hotel will be Citybox's first in Stavanger and is scheduled to open in Q2 2024 at Klubbgata 3.

-Klubbgata is the ideal location for Citybox hotel in Stavanger. It is located in the city center, right by the charming wooden house area, and only 100 meters from Norway's finest cathedral. The location is perfect for transportation, whether guests arrive by train, bus, boat, or car. Stavanger is an incredibly dynamic and charming city, and we have wanted to establish ourselves here for a long time. If everything goes according to plan, we will open well in advance to participate in the magnificent 900th anniversary of the city and the cathedral, continues Martin.

Citybox Stavanger is the chain's eleventh signing, and with the hotels now in a secure pipeline, Citybox will more than double the number of rooms from the current 1,126 to 2,219. In 2024 the chain will open Citybox Stavanger, Citybox Helsinki, Citybox Stockholm, and Citybox Brussels. Citybox Kristiansand and Citybox Tromsø are also in the pipeline.

The hotel chain delivered impressive results in 2022, where all the hotels had an "all-time high"-turnover of 269 million, almost 50 million above budget. Citybox Oslo and Citybox Bergen also had the highest occupancy rates in their respective cities, at 88.8% and 77.6%, 28% and 20% higher than the city averages.

Aton is now in the process of starting the conversion of the interior hotel mass, and the building is scheduled to be ready in the first half of 2024.
