Vitafoods 2011: anti-constipation and flavored probiotics
Chr. Hansen’s probiotics experts participate at the leading nutraceuticals trade show in Europe – Vitafoods taking place in Geneva, Switzerland May 10-12, 2011.
“At this year’s Vitafoods we will be showcasing our ‘BB-12® plus fiber’ concept against constipation. The combination builds on strong clinical studies on BB-12® and the historical beneficial effect of fibers on constipation,” says Charlotte Beyerholm, Marketing Manager, Human Health & Nutrition.
On Wednesday May 11 at 15.10 o’clock CET Chr. Hansen will be hosting a Vitafoods seminar about the concept.
“Visitors at our booth may also try some of our samples of probiotic sticks and chewable tablets in various flavors: strawberry, vanilla, peppermint, and orange,” says Charlotte Beyerholm.

Chr. Hansen is shortlisted for two Nutraceutical Business & Technology Awards (NBTA) at Vitafoods:
- Most Effective Strategic Product Development
- Most Improved Product Safety and Quality
In the first category, the NBTA judges have selected the Chr. Hansen nomination “BB-12® plus fibre for constipation” as finalist for the award. In the second category, Chr. Hansen’s “Development of infant formula grade probiotic ingredients” is a finalist. The NBTA winners will be announced on May 11 at the Starling Geneva Hotel & Conference Centre.
