Probiotics and phytonutrients for health & wellness
At SupplySide West in Las Vegas, Chr. Hansen will be showcasing a variety of popular natural concepts within probiotics and phytonutrients for the dietary supplement industry.
Today’s global consumers are increasingly aware of the relationship between diet and health and request natural solutions for natural problems. Both probiotics and phytonutrients are popular, natural health promoters.
The global supplement industry had an estimated worth of sales of 68 billion USD in 2006, which is 5% up compared to 2005 (Nutrition Business Journal)
For probiotic dietary supplements alone the global retail market experienced a 46.9% growth between 2002 and 2005. A growth of 32.6% is predicted through 2010 (Euromonitor International).

Chr. Hansen’s phytonutrients range, NutriPhy™, was launched earlier this year focusing mainly on natural carotenoids and polyphenols, but the range is constantly expanding.
“We will launch our new NutriPhy™ Cranberry at SupplySide West. It is a powerful extract from the cranberry nuclear and is more than 10 times stronger than the cranberry itself. Furthermore we expect to add new, interesting products to the range in the near future,” says Sami Sassi, Business Development Manager, Phytonutrients.
