The Potomac River Could Turn Into a Green Highway With This Electric Flying Ship

The first electric hydrofoiling ship, Candela P-12 Shuttle, could transform the rivers into green highways in waterfront cities like Washington DC, Baltimore, and New York. The P-12 Shuttle uses 80% less energy than traditional vessels, operates noiselessly, without wake, and will reduce commute times. Media demonstrations in Annapolis between October 9 and 15.

Candela P-12 Shuttle uses 80% less energy than conventional fast diesel vessels. The first unit will be launched this summer.
